Am I psychic? This is a question many people ask, especially if they’re sensitive.

The truth is we all possess an inbuilt sixth sense or intuition. This is our inner voice that guides us, however, being psychic is a bit different. Having a feeling something isn’t quite right is intuition. This serves to protect us from danger and is a type of safety mechanism. It can also tell you if something is good.

Being psychic is developing intuitive powers so they’re specifically directed at becoming psychic. All of us have the potential to develop psychic abilities but some are more highly tuned to energy than others. Just like some people are naturally gifted at art or playing sports, others have a natural psychic ability. However, just like learning to draw or paint we can all develop some level of skill no matter how basic.

So how can you tell if you’re naturally psychic?

A good way to find out if you have a natural ability is to attend a psychic awareness class. You are taken through a variety of ways that test your psychic powers. It can be a fun way to get started and meet like minded people!

Some of the things you’re shown include photo reading. This is were you pick up a sense or feeling about something by looking at a photo of it. This may be a person but could also be an animal such as a cat or dog. Holding the photo in your hand relax and close your eyes for a few moments. You may find images come into your head, or you pick up thoughts and feelings from it.

At first it feels as if you’re just guessing and saying whatever comes into your head. However, saying exactly what comes into your head without thinking about it is the best way to get a reading.

It can take courage though as you don’t want to appear stupid in front of a class of budding psychics! Don’t let this put you off as you may surprise yourself! You also have to be able to relax and switch off any feelings of self consciousness.

In the class I attended a few years ago we worked in pairs. I was surprised by my reading as apparently a lot of what I picked up on was correct. I also got some of it wrong, so don’t despair if that happens to you. Just like everything else practice makes perfect.

You may discover you have a natural gift for reading pictures and want to develop it further or you may need to work at it for a while before you start to get results.

Psychometry is very similar to photo reading except you’re holding an object instead of a picture. You’re picking up on energy from the object and using it to build an impression. As I’ve mentioned many times before, everything in the universe is created from energy. This includes your thoughts. I believe if you’re sensitive to energy you can pick on emotions and feelings the owner of an object may have experienced.

If you’re working in pairs just say what you feel. Don’t hesitate for fear of looking silly. You may find some things are easier to read than others. You can practice this on your own but you’ll still need verification the information is correct.

Maybe try looking at photos of celebrities you know nothing about. Then read up on them after to see if the information you’ve picked up on matches.

Seeing auras is something I learned to do in the psychic class I attended. Auras are simply electromagnetic fields of energy that all living things radiate. Try looking at the top of your head in a mirror through half closed eyes. Preferably you’re in a dimly lit room as this makes it much easier to see aura.

You may be able to see colours at the very edge of your head. This will be like a very faint fuzzy outline and may be hard to make out. Auras can be picked up on photos using a special camera.

Just like building muscle you have to exercise your psychic abilities every day. If you only went to the gym once a month your muscles would remain weak. In the same way you can’t expect to develop psychic ability if you never work at it. The following simple exercise can be easily done with the help of a friend or family member.

Get them to place 10 small objects on a board. Spend 20 seconds memorising the objects, then close your eyes and push the board out of view. Try to write down every object you saw and how it was placed on the board. Though this is just an exercise to develop observational skills it can also help develop your psychic ability.

Meditation not only calms the mind but also slows down the constant chatter going on in your head. This peaceful stillness allows you to become more receptive to intuitive and psychic information.

However, in psychic development, you’re using meditation in a slightly different way. You’re using it to open up your mind to spirit energy.

Meditation slows down your brainwaves to a theta frequency. This is experienced just before you enter light sleep. You’re very relaxed but still aware of your surroundings. This is when you get creative inspiration and are open to receiving psychic information. During waking hours beta frequency brainwaves are
dominant. It’s very hard to tune into psychic energy if your brainwaves are in the faster frequencies.

How to begin meditating

To begin meditation first find somewhere quiet with no distractions. Sit in an upright chair with both feet flat on the floor. Rest your hands comfortably on your lap with palms facing upwards. Take a deep breath in and exhale slowly. Do this several times until you feel your body start to relax.

Next , imagine a small ball of white light in front of you that gradually gets bigger. Imagine stepping inside it and as you breathe in you’re inhaling its powerful healing energy. Imagine this powerful energy filling your whole body.

While you’re in this very relaxed state open your mind to spirit. You may experience thoughts or feelings. You may also see images in your mind’s eye. Don’t be disappointed if nothing happens during your first few sessions as it can take a while to learn how to meditate.

If you already have some level of psychic ability how strong is it? You may experience things such as knowing who’s calling you before you answer the phone, or sensing something before it happens. You may even be able to pick up on things about someone you’ve only just met. This means you’re tuning into their energy. If this is a regular occurrence and you’re most often right it does mean you have a strong natural psychic ability.

Dreaming about an event before it happens is a psychic dream. They differ from normal dreams in that they’re often vivid and you wake up remembering every detail. If you have such dreams write them down as soon as you wake up. Consider starting a dream diary so you can refer back to them in the future.

I have had psychic dreams, not about world events but relating to my own life. One was a warning about my relationship a few months before it ended. Another was a dream about a close friend who had his car stolen, and the next day he phoned to say it had been stolen!!

If you believe you already possess a natural psychic gift and you want to take it further you could think about joining a circle. You’ll meet others with similar abilities and it may open up opportunities for you.

Have you ever found that sometimes things just fall into place? A series of events occur that seem to magically fit together. It’s almost as if some higher force has given you a helping hand.

It may seem pure chance that you meet the very person who can help you. You weren’t actively looking but somehow they crossed your path. This is known as synchronicity and isn’t just random events occurring in your life.

There are no coincidences

Things happen for a reason its energy from our thoughts that drive things towards us. Everything in the universe is created from energy vibrating at different frequencies. The frequency of energy from your thoughts attracts towards you that of the same.

The higher your frequency the more positivity you’ll attract in your life. Thoughts you spend time focusing on are known as intentions. They’re very powerful and are released into the universe. Whether you consciously or subconsciously desire something it will be drawn towards you.

Opportunities in disguise.

Sometimes we’re in the wrong place whether in a relationship or job and the universe will conspire to help move us towards where we should be.

It may be something disastrous like an accident or illness that opens doors to something new. This is the universe guiding you towards what’s right for you.

For example, I had a stroke 3 years ago which affected my left hand. At the time I was a hairdresser but for some years had become dissatisfied and wanted a change.

Though I can no longer work as a hairdresser I’m now able to work full time on my blog which I enjoy. I love writing, and my stroke had forced me to make the change I needed.

Opportunities can come in the form of redundancies, divorce, or even accidents. It’s often life changing events that force you to leave your comfort zone and take chances on things you would have otherwise never considered.

This is synchronicity at work, lining up events to bring that much needed break towards you. It’s then up to you to take it.

Why you keep failing at something

Failures can be synchronicity at work. Maybe you keep applying for the same type of job but fail. You may be trying to do something you’re not really meant to do. Your heart isn’t in it and this is the universe trying to tell you this isn’t right for you.

Answers come in many guises.

Occasionally the universe sends us answers or guidance in many different forms. For example, you may be watching tv and a presenter is discussing your very problem. You hear the exact action you need to take, and though it may not always be what you want to hear it’s completely relevant to you.

A billboard jumps out at you with a message that seems to offer the solution to a problem. It may be an advert for a product but it totally fits.

Answers can even appear on social media. You’re scrolling down your Facebook feed and a post catches your eye. It stands out from the rest as it’s a positive quote or saying that lifts your spirits just when you needed it. It’s almost as if you’re being told don’t worry everything will be ok.

Have you ever had that weird thing happen to you when you’re thinking about someone and they call you? This is actually very common and it almost seems like telepathy at work. You created an intention by thinking about that person. Your mind was tapping into their thoughts even though they may live miles away from you.

You may even bump into an old friend you’ve not seen for a long time. They were meant to cross your path at that moment for a reason. Maybe they needed to pass information onto you, or you needed help which they were able to give.

Recently I lost my cat and was feeling very down. I bumped into a neighbour a few days later who took me to see a lady that rehomes unwanted cats. Now I have her phone number thanks to my neighbour. I definitely want to adopt another feline friend very soon, so this was certainly synchronicity at work!

Synchronicity and receiving help.

Usually, if we need help to the car we go to a mechanic, or if the toilet gets blocked we call a plumber. Help though can also come in unexpected ways without the need to pick up the phone!

There are many cases of people who desperately require help and as if by pure chance someone passes by at that critical moment. It’s as if the universe is protecting you. Maybe your car breaks down on a dark night while you’re driving down a lonely road and a friend just happens to be passing by. Or, maybe it’s something trivial like you’ve run of coffee and a neighbour happens to drop by with a tin of coffee.

When we want something and focus our attention on it we’re sending out an intention. In order to manifest something though you must have belief. If you can overcome any doubts or lack of faith you may start seeing signs that alignment is taking place. Remember to have patience though as the timing must be right.

It’s not like ordering a pizza! You can’t send out an intention in the morning and expect a delivery 2 hours later! Though this can happen, most times it may be days, weeks, months, or longer.

synchricity numbersNumbers are all around us and angels as well as spirit guides use them as a way of communicating. Have you ever woken up at the same time during the night several nights in a row? You look at the clock and it shows 3.40 am, the exact same time as the last 2 nights.

This may well be a message. Think if these numbers are the same as an anniversary or any other date that has a specific meaning to you. It could simply be a message of reassurance letting you know your angels and guides are never far away.

If you see meaningful numbers or letters on car license plates this may also be a sign. Try decoding them and use your intuition to decide if they’re more than just random numbers.

If every time you look at the clock you see numbers repeated this may also be a sign of synchronicity. For example 10.10, 11.10, 3.10. Numbers are also in airports, train stations, bus stops. In fact everywhere you look you’ll see numbers.
Even the house or apartment you live in has a number.

Some people will only move into a property if it has a specific number, and there are people who won’t sit in an airline seat if it’s number 13.

The way we meet our life partners can often seem like pure chance but I truly believe it’s synchronicity at work. If we are meant to be with someone they will cross our path. Sometimes this may be more than once.

I met my partner through a dating agency some years back before internet dating was around. I remember he called me as I was watching a favourite tv show and I said I’d call him back. Later on, I phoned him just as he was about to call another date on his list!

When we met he told me lived right near to the college I attended a few years previously, and even frequented the same bar. We probably shared the same space more than once but it wasn’t the right time for us to meet.

Sometimes a relationship can break up but if you’re really meant to be together synchronicity will make it happen. The timing has to be right with everything in perfect alignment.

So how do you know you’re in alignment?

You’ll start seeing signs that are meaningful to you. Just as I mentioned previously, number sequences may appear or you may keep seeing a name that has a specific meaning to you. A song taking you back to the time you fell in love starts playing on the radio. You hear this tune again in the grocery store.

Using the power of visualization and positive thought can help bring things into alignment. Sending out intentions into the universe may help draw you back together if it’s meant. However, if the relationship only served as a lesson, and you’re meant to move on then chances are it will never work.

At times we may become trapped in a negative state and things keep repeating themselves. For example, you’ve become very stressed and you’re repressing a lot of anger. You keep having recurring dreams with symbols showing a need to relax and let go. If you can remember your dreams write them down as soon as you wake up. Try to work out if they’re synchronicity dreams by using your intuition.

It’s possible that you may also keep seeing signs during the day pointing to the same idea. It could be as obvious as seeing a signboard with the word relax!

Laughter is a great way to raise your vibration and boost the immune system. It decreases levels of cortisol the stress hormone and boosts levels of endorphins. Stress is a major cause of many health problems so laughing every day will not only help you feel calmer but keep you healthier as well.

Laughter is also a great pain killer, and relaxes your whole body. Some types of pain are caused by muscle tension, so laughter can help release this. Watching a funny film or your favorite comedy show are great ways to get yourself laughing.

Get plenty of sleep.

During sleep your body repairs itself and lack of it depresses your immune system. Staying up all night once in a while is ok, but making it a regular thing will harm your health. You’ll be more prone to catching colds and will need more days off sick.

If you suffer from sleep problems try playing natural sounds such as wind or birdsong when you’re in bed. Binaural beats are also very effective as they can slow down your brainwave frequency to a theta or delta level. Your mind and body are very closely linked. Your thoughts and emotions can have a physical effect on your body.

Feeling depressed or worried can trigger minor ailments such as itchy spots or mouth ulcers. I used to regularly suffer from migraines if I was worrying over something or felt anxious.

Stress can have a direct affect on blood pressure and heart rate. So staying calm will greatly reduce the risk of a stroke, a lesson I learned only too well 3 years ago. Thankfully I’m almost fully recovered, but never let anything make me worry anymore. Health is far more important!

Dwelling on feeling ill can often worsen symptoms. Have you ever noticed that if you get a cold, talking about it and saying how bad you feel can make it ten times worse? Focusing on your cold can actually increase the time it takes to feel better.

Instead of thinking how bad your head hurts or how constant sneezing is making you feel poorly, focus on feeling full of energy instead. I know you may not feel healthy if you have a bad cold, but visualizing your body full of vitality may help shorten your recovery time.

To do this take a few deep breaths and imagine a beam of pure white light entering your body through the top of your head, and zapping all your cold germs. You’re now feeling full of life and vigor again. Do this simple exercise repeatedly during the day as well as drink plenty of water to flush out harmful toxins.

If you get anything more than a minor ailment always go to the doctor. You can still practice visualization while you’re taking medication. There are illnesses and conditions that can’t be cured, but keeping an upbeat positive attitude may help you heal mentally and view it as a challenge rather than a curse.

Small amounts of stress can be good for you. It motivates you to take action and is a driving force. For example, if you have a busy schedule with a lot of tasks to complete, stress will drive you on to work quicker.

In prehistoric times stress and the release of adrenalin could save your life if you were being chased by wild animals, or needed to hunt for food. In modern times thankfully most of us don’t have those problems but your body is still producing adrenalin.

For example you could see a problem as being a lesson sent to test your resolve or view it with a glass half full not empty mindset. Focus on gratitude and your problems will diminish very quickly.

Showing gratitude for all the good things in your life is a very powerful way to improve health and wellbeing. Even a slight shift in your attitude and being more positive will boost your immune system. You’ll feel happier and more relaxed.

Go outside for a walk every day. Even if the weather isn’t perfect as you’ll feel energized. Exercise releases feel good hormones such as serotonin and endorphins making you feel good about things and improving your wellbeing.

Just 20 minutes of meditation a day can have major health benefits including lowering blood pressure and improving your quality of sleep. While you’re meditating imagine every cell in your body bursting with health and vitality. Controlling the breath is a big part of meditation. When you focus on the breath your heart rate slows down, and you can’t help but feel calmer.

This is why your blood pressure becomes lower. Hypertension is a very dangerous condition and if you suffer from it you’ll need medication, but introducing a daily regime of meditation may help to lower it naturally.

Playing gentle relaxing music in the background will help you focus and calm the mind. Focusing on the breath can also help to slow down your thoughts. If you’re stressed or anxious your mind will be racing with hundreds of thoughts, all competing for your attention

Find a comfortable place to meditate and wear loose clothing. Make sure you’re not going to be disturbed, and allow yourself 10 minutes of quiet time. As you’re breathing in deeply visualize yourself surrounded by pure white light, and breathe in it’s healing energy. As you breathe out imagine you’re exhaling negative, toxic energy.

Visualization is a very powerful tool, and constant daily practice can reap big rewards. If you’re tired and need to lose weight visualize yourself brimming with vitality. Imagine your body as being slim and youthful. The subconscious mind is very powerful and accepts whatever you tell it as being real.

The only thing though is that you truly have to believe in whatever it is you want to manifest. If you have underlying negative beliefs then your subconscious mind may fight against, and sabotage any attempts to change your reality.

Creating a vision board will help you to affirm your goals. Find photos from magazines or those you’ve taken that show fit, active and healthy people. Images of places you want to travel to, and anything that aligns with your goals of good health and wellbeing.

Add affirmations as well. eg “I am bursting with health and energy,” or “I avoid junk food. I eat healthy, nutritious food that’s good for my body and drink plenty of water to hydrate and cleanse every cell” Keep your vision board nearby during the day and spend time looking at the images and reading the text.

Some are given medicine and others placebos that will have no effect whatsoever. In some cases those who took dummy pills reported improvements. Findings can conclude that believing the pills will make them better was actually curing them. They expected and visualized that they’d feel better and that became a reality.

Think yourself young and healthy

Of course getting older is inevitable and we can’t stop time, but keeping a happy and positive outlook can not only make you look younger, but also feel healthier.

If you believe yourself to be old then you will project this to the outside world. it will show in your face in the form of frown lines and a downbeat look. You may even dress old because you see a lot of fashion as being too young for you. This in itself can have an impact on your health.

Thinking yourself as being too old for different things and expecting health problems associated with old age could well manifest some of them. Rewire your brain and transform every area of your life!

 

This may sound far fetched but your brain really can be rewired, not like a circuit board, but in a neurobiological way. Keep reading as I explain in easy to understand language.

It was once thought that the brain was a fixed structure, but now scientists understand it to be pliable, and constantly changing.

Your thoughts are energy that’s in a constant state of vibration. What you focus your mind on projects that energy into the universe.

If you’re feeling sad, worried, or upset, your energy will be at a low level of vibration. As like attracts like, you’ll draw more of the same towards you.

Everything in the universe is composed of energy. Just like your thoughts it’s constantly vibrating. If you were to see the microscopic molecules in your furniture, car, or anything else you’d see they were moving.

These molecules are extremely tiny. You’d have to look through a super high powered microscope to see them.

It’s now become widely known that you can actually rewire your brain to change old belief systems and replace with positive ones. This process is known as neuroplasty.

What is neuroplasticity?

It was once thought that the brain was a fixed structure, but now scientists understand it to be pliable and constantly changing.

neuroplasticity is simply the brain forming new ways of doing things. You see, your brain has billions of neurons or cells that transmit information to different areas of your body. The routes they travel along are known as neural pathways.

When something changes in the body or mind the brain compensates by forming new neural pathways. For example, stroke damage may affect the use of a limb, so the brain forms new pathways to compensate. But this also applies to the mind as well.

You can strengthen neural connections in your brain by using your non dominant hand. For example, try brushing your teeth using your left hand. You may end up poking yourself in the eye, but persevere even if it seems ridiculously impossible! Your brain will build new pathways making it easier to perform this task.

Using your non dominant hand is a great workout for the brain as you’re using both hemispheres. Using your dominant hand means you’re only using one side of your brain. You could also try writing with your non dominant hand, or any other simple daily task

Using your left hand may also boost your creativity and intuitiveness. As a stroke survivor I was lucky it affected my non dominant hand, but I’ve been pushing myself to use my left hand. My consultant told me it to keep trying to use my affected hand normally, as doing so will help rewire the brain, forming new neural pathways.

This was a real education as I’d never heard about neuroplasticity before, but became hooked on the subject. I know it really works as I’ve overcome many challenges as a one handed person. I now see myself as a one and a half handed person with the goal of becoming 2 handed again:):)

Focus on positive experiences and banish negativity!

You can overcome the pattern of negative thinking by focusing your mind on happy, positive experiences. As humans we can often find ourselves focusing on the one negative remark someone said to us, rather than the half dozen compliments from others.

Rewire your brain by spending time reveling in things that make you happy, or nice things people say about you. If your boss rewards you for your hard work and effort, bask in the emotion of it. Most people don’t spend enough time feeling good about something before reverting back to the norm. The more time you allow a happy moment to stay in your mind the greater chance it has of being transferred to long term memory. Once this has happened the brain has created a new neural pathway.

How you feel comes from within yourself. focusing on happy experiences and playing them back in your mind over and over is an effective way to emotionally rewire your brain. However, you must continue to reinforce positive thoughts otherwise these new pathways will weaken and break.

Rewire your brain for success

If you’ve always found success hard to achieve chances are you may have mental blocks holding you back. These are belief systems often formed in the early years by parents or teachers. They can be really hard to break through, making you believe you can’t do something, or guilty about things beyond your control.

Affirmations are a good way to rewire the brain, but for them to work you really have to believe them. I’ve mentioned this before in previous posts, and can’t stress this enough.

Create affirmations that feel right to you. It’s no good saying “I’m wealthy with an overflowing bank account” if you’re in debt with no self belief. Take it one step at a time with saying something like “I’m working hard to clear my debts, and will be debt free by…” Add your own date that feels comfortable to you. You also need a plan to clear debts or whatever else you want to do, as there is no magic!

Make this plan an affirmation and create short and long term goals to achieve it. Visualize yourself having achieved your goal, and really spend time focusing on the emotion of it. This is very powerful and helps form neural pathways.

To make this even more effective create a mind movie. You can easily do this for free using programs such as Kizoa or Animoto. It’s simply combining text with images of dreams you want to achieve.

Rewire your brain with meditation

Meditation has been practiced for thousands of years and has so many benefits. Apart from making you feel happier it’s also been shown to reduce feelings of panic. As you begin to meditate you start to feel calmer and more in control of things. The more you practice the less you’ll feel overwhelmed or fearful. Instead you’ll be able to see things more rationally, making it easier to solve problems.

Just half an hour of daily meditation helps stimulate the formation of new synapses or connections in the brain. It actually helps grow grey matter, making you get better at feeling calm and relaxed.

Why sleep helps the brain to rewire

During sleep your brain is very active, sorting and filing information you’ve taken in during the day. Memories are transferred from short term to long term, and neural pathways are strengthened.

Before you drift off to sleep spend a few moments focusing on a positive experience, or visualize yourself achieving something you’ve set your mind on. During sleep your subconscious will work on those thoughts, strengthening them. This is a very powerful way to rewire the brain. Sleeping also raises your vibration, which is why you often feel better about things after a good nights sleep.

Rewire your brain after an injury

the brain has multiple pathways for neurons to connect, but it doesn’t use them all. It’s only been discovered fairly recently that following an injury such as a stroke you can rewire the brain forming new neural pathways, and live life normally again.

Having suffered a stroke 3 years ago I can testify that rewiring the brain to overcome physical difficulties is very possible. The stroke affected my left hand, and though I still have physical difficulties with it I’m still able to do everything I did before. For example I used to touch type with both hands, but now I type just as fast using all the fingers on my right hand.

When you learn a new skill or rewire a part of your brain, if you stop working at it, your results will begin to diminish. It’s a bit like exercise. If you don’t do it regularly your muscles will weaken.

The more you work at changing something the stronger the connection. For example, if you learn to draw and stop practicing, the skills you’ve learned will start to fade. You may have a talent but unless it’s practiced it won’t develop and grow.

Keep your brain healthy

Keeping your brain healthy will help the process of building and strengthening neural pathways. Eating a healthy well balanced diet is essential for both your mind and body. Ensure you eat the right nutrients to improve brain function. Fish oils high in omega 3, blueberries, and pumpkin seeds are excellent choices. You can also buy brain food supplements to help boost your intake.

Keep hydrated and boost your brain’s performance!

Being dehydrated isn’t just about feeling thirsty. You need to drink about 8 glasses of water a day for maximum health. A good idea is to drink a glass of water on waking, as your body dehydrates during sleep. Drinking water while you’re working can stop drowsiness making you more alert. Your grey matter shrinks if you get dehydrated. On the other hand keeping yourself well hydrated can increase your brain’s performance by up to 14%!

The body mass of young children is as much as 75%, but by the time humans reach old age it can decline to around 55%. Drinking regularly can help reduce this, and keep the brain in good working order.

Exercise to keep your brain fit

Walking for 30 minutes a day will help deliver oxygen to the brain. You don’t need to do high intensity exercise, just walking at a moderate pace is enough. You’ll find your memory and cognitive function will improve if you walk regularly.

Boost brain power with puzzles

Just like going to the gym for a body workout, doing puzzles can give your brain a workout. Jigsaw puzzles are great for boosting memory power and use both sides of your brain. The left side analyses and problem solves, while the creative right side enjoys the process of seeing the picture emerge. You’re creating new connections between neuron cells on both sides of the brain.

Crossword puzzles are also excellent for improving brain power. It strengthens memory and protects against dementia in old age. I always used to enjoy doing crosswords in the daily newspaper, but you can download apps nowadays. There’s no evidence to suggest they stop grey matter shrinking, but they will keep your mind sharp.

Why Chakra Clearing May Help Make The Law Of Attraction Work In Your Favor.

 

 

If you’re familiar with the idea of chakra clearing you’ll know how powerful it is in releasing blocked energy.

As I’ve mentioned before everything in the universe is created from energy. This energy flows through your body and is in a constant state of motion.

If you’re tired or unwell this will be reflected in your energy field. Feeling low or emotionally upset has a negative effect creating blockages.

There are 7 chakras in the human body

Starting from the top of the head is the crown chakra. This is linked to the divine power, or spirit world. If the crown chakra is open you’ll trust your intuitive thoughts, and be open to inspiration. If it’s blocked you may feel depressed and find it hard to let go of things.

The third eye chakra is situated between the eyebrows, if this is blocked you’ll find it hard to focus and your mind will wander from one thought to another.

The throat chakra is situated in the throat area, and if this is blocked you may find it hard to express yourself. You may fear being laughed at for saying what you think and end up staying quiet.

A blocked heart chakra can be caused by the pain of a broken relationship. You may suffer loneliness, and find it hard to move on. Healing this can help you move forward with your life and let go of the past.

The naval chakra is found just above the belly button. This helps drive you to take action and fulfill your goals. If this is blocked you may lack the drive and the energy needed to push yourself.

The second chakra is just below the belly button. If this is blocked you may be resisting any change in your life. It’s here you may find yourself holding onto old belief systems from the past. Chakra clearing may help you attract more of what you want into your life.

The base or root chakra is associated with security, wealth, material possessions, and feeling grounded. If this is blocked you may find it hard to manifest material things into your life. You may also find it hard to let go of things, hoarding possessions you no longer need.

So now you can see the importance of chakra clearing to help the law of attraction work for you. Each chakra plays a vital role in maintaining both physical and mental health.

It’s rare for all chakras to be open all of the time, so regular cleansing will help keep the energy flowing freely. The root chakra is especially important as this is where we manifest wealth and material things in life.

How to clear your chakras

There’s no quick fix in clearing blocked energy, but here are a few tips that may help.

Using a pendulum

Pendulums are frequently used to clear blocked chakras, and though this is mostly carried out by another person it can still be done on your own.

You don’t need to go and buy a pendulum, as you can easily make one yourself. Just take a piece of string or a necklace chain, and hook a ring or some other small object that gives it weight.

Sit on a chair with both feet firmly on the ground and imagine you have roots going down into the earth. This is a way of grounding you. Relax, take a few deep breaths in and slowly breathe out. Do this a few times and completely relax your mind, letting go of any negative thoughts.

Next imagine a beam of bright white light entering your body from the top of your head, breathe in its positive energy and exhale negative energy.

Hold the pendulum above the open palm of your hand as still as possible and after a short time it should start to gently swing. This may be in a clockwise or counter clockwise direction depending on the energy.

Visualize in turn each color of the 7 chakras starting purple which is the crown chakra. As each one becomes cleansed you’ll notice the pendulum starts to swing in the opposite direction.

Keep your body hydrated to help chakra clearing

Drinking plenty of fresh water helps release toxins. These may help block the energy flow in your body so it’s important to keep drinking.

Smoking as we all know is harmful to your health, and will greatly increase the amount of toxins in your body. Quit as son as you can.

Avoid the company of negative people.

Negative people have heavy energy and it can be very hard to shake off. This is far worse if you’re a sensitive person as you pick up on their vibes more easily.

Have you ever found that listening to someone moan about how bad things are will have you feeling bad as well? Everything is wrong in their life and they’re blaming everyone else including the government!

Staying around them for any length of time will have you feeling bad as well. I’m a very empathetic person and find it easy to take these negative emotions to heart.

This energy can attach itself to you and stay around for some time after.

You don’t need to cut people out of your life, but try spending more time with positive people.

Their vibrancy and energy will uplift you raising your level of vibration.

Using crystals to clear chakras and draw positive energy towards you.

Positive energy is the key to making the law of attraction work. We’ve already discovered a few ways to clear chakras, but one we haven’t touched on is using crystals

This is a huge topic and you can find a ton of information online about it. But I’m only going to touch on crystals very briefly here.

Basically, there are different crystals for balancing different areas of the body. You use them by either placing the crystals on your body or holding them in your hand.

If you’re placing the crystal on your body try and place it in the chakra energy area you’re treating.

Laying down is obviously easier, but you can still use the crystal by sitting in a chair and simply holding it on the area.

You can cleanse the crystals by soaking them in salt water for a while. You can buy crystals here

Reiki has been used in energy healing for thousands of years. The practitioner works by placing their hands on or just above the area they’re working on. It can also be done remotely so you don’t always need to visit someone.

It’s an excellent way of balancing chakras and heals both physically and emotionally.

You can often feel a warm sensation from the reiki master’s hands and some people claim to see colors.

You’ll feel very relaxed after your session. You’ll notice a change in your energy, as it will be lighter. You’ll feel better and this in itself will help the law of attraction work for you.

Clearing your chakras with meditation

Grounding meditation is an excellent way to open up your chakras and clear any negative energy.

Lightworkers often use this before connecting with spirit.

Each vortex of energy, or chakra is associated with a color. Start your meditation by sitting comfortably with your hands gently resting on your knees, palms facing upward.

Take a long deep breath in, and exhale slowly. Do this several times so you feel nice and relaxed.

Next starting from the base, or root chakra visualize a warm red light with it’s vibrant energy flowing through the vortex.

Spend a few minutes really focusing on this healing energy.

Then move up to the naval chakra and visualize an orange light. Continue up to the crown chakra, visualizing the color associated with each chakra.

They are;

  • Root chakra-Red
  • naval chakra-orange
  • heart chakra-green
  • throat chakra-blue
  • third eye chakra-indigo
  • crown chakra-white

Spending time focusing on each chakra in your body will help unblock and cleanse it’s energy.

You’ll feel lighter and energized afterward, as harmony is restored.

Can tapping into the power of your subconscious help bring success and happiness in your life?

only a fraction of your conscious mind is used in decision making, reactions to situations and emotional responses. The remaining 95% is done subconsciously. Past experiences and beliefs passed on by others are filed away in the subconscious mind ready for instant access.

Your brain is active 24 hours a day, even during sleep. In fact the brain is even more active during sleep. Information taken in during the day is processed during the night. It’s almost like a computer sorting files into folders. This is why it’s so important to get sufficient rest.

Using the power of the subconscious to hone skills

This may sound far fetched but you can improve skills requiring motor function such as driving, painting, playing tennis, dancing etc while you’re asleep.

As you learn or practice during the day these newly acquired skills are transferred from short term memory into long term memory. After a while you may not need to think consciously about many of these skills. For example, the mechanical aspects of driving are done largely on autopilot. You put the car into gear without having to think about it.

This is because your subconscious takes over while your conscious mind is fully alert for what’s going on around you.

This means that good nights sleep before an exam or anything requiring newly learned skills is far more beneficial than staying up half the night studying.

Your subconscious mind is so powerful that it accepts what you tell it without question!

Telling it you’re a successful business person and it won’t question your words.

Of course, you have to put in a lot of work every day, but believing you can do it will make a huge difference to your outcome.

Though visualization is a very powerful technique, you must really believe it at core level. You can’t half heartedly visualize yourself achieving success if subconsciously you have no faith in yourself whatsoever.

You have to break through negative beliefs holding you back before you can expect results.

Neuroplasticity is a fairly new idea, and up until the begriming of the last century it was thought that the brain was fixed and unable to change. Now it’s been proven using mri scanning that you can indeed change the structure of the brain. It’s possible not only to heal brain injury but also create paradigm shifts in the subconscious mind.

Every time you learn a new skill, absorb information, have new experiences, you’re building new neural pathways. This is what’s known as neuroplasty.

The mind and brain are very closely connected. If you make changes in how you think your brain will also change.

As we grow and develop in life we make changes in how we respond to situations, and view the world around us. Even though these changes are mental they have a physical affect on the brain as well.

Bob Proctor and paradigm shifts

If you’ve ever studied any of Bob Proctor’s books or seminars you’ll know he talks about paradigm shifts.

These are just habits formed in the subconscious over a period of time. Negative paradigms can often originate from childhood and growing up. How your parents or teachers see the world will massively influence you at a young age.

Changing these deeply ingrained beliefs takes time and a lot of effort. Once you’ve formed new positive habits and eliminated negative ones your brain will have rewired itself.

How to create new habits to rewire your brain

It takes around 30 days to change a habit, and once this is formed, the structure of your brain changes as well. You’ll find that these new habits can be hard to break, so making sure they’re positive ones will have a massive influence on your ability to achieve success.

You can literally program your mind by making these small changes or habits over time. This will have a cumulative effect, slowly changing your mindset to a positive one.

Affirmations are a good way to rewire the brain and speed up neuroplasticity. You’re simply convincing your subconscious that you’re already successful, and living the life of your dreams.

The exciting thing about this discovery is that it in no way relates to age. You can still learn new skills and set new goals right into your 80s and 90s, and even beyond!

Write your affirmations down on a piece of paper and say them either out loud or in your mind at least twice a day. The more you say them the more your subconscious will accept them as real.

Your energy will change becoming lighter and far more positive. The results can be amazing as you start to attract positive situations and people into your life.

Meditation and neuroplasticity

It has been scientifically proven that meditation can shape the plasticity of the brain. When you meditate your thoughts slow down enabling you to focus your mind. We actually have a default mode which is continual random thoughts. This is far worse if you’re anxious or worried creating negative energy.

Mindfulness and meditation let you step back allowing you to see things more objectively instead of just subconsciously reacting. Getting into the habit of meditating for just 20 minutes a day can help you take control of your subconscious mind, programming it with positive thoughts.

Just like a workout for the body you must commit yourself to meditation as it’s a workout for the mind and must be done regularly. I found Zen12 a great solution to help me meditate. I found it hard to focus on meditation in the past, and just never seemed to find the time. This program helped address both issues and I highly recommend it.

Mindfulness can be as simple as doing a repetitive task you enjoy doing, such as coloring, or writing.

Overthinkers tend to spend a lot of time going over what happened in the past, and making assumptions about the future.

They beat themselves up over what they could have done, and wished they’d hadn’t.

They also think about all the worst case scenarios in a situation, and constantly replay images of negative events from the past.

This could be an accident, or something negative someone said. This type of obsessive thinking can soon get out of control, making everything out of proportion.

A near miss in the car at a road junction or roundabout could easily trigger a phobia of driving past that area, if you let overthinking stop you.

Thinking is a good thing if used in problem solving, but not the destructive negative thoughts that hold you back.

Overthinking can quickly become a habit if you let it. You may not even be aware of the way your thoughts are making you obsess over things.

So how can you stop overthinking?

Next time you find a negative thought stuck in your head write it down on a piece of paper. Challenge it by asking yourself what is the worst that could happen if this thought became real.

Chances are you’re exaggerating a perceived outcome far more than you realize. Worrying that the flight you’re taking will crash is a good example. Flying is unbelievably safe, but once you start focusing on a negative thought you can develop a phobia.

Break the habit of overthinking

The cycle of thinking too much can be broken once you become aware of it. Like any other habit you can replace it with a new one.

It can take around 30 days to form a new habit, but changing how you think is more complex.

You have to break through negative belief systems, replacing them with positive ones. Using affirmations is a good way to do this.

Instead of thinking about all the things that can go wrong, think about all the things that can go right.

You’ll immediately raise your level of vibration, and draw positive energy towards you

Start making this a daily habit, and as soon as you find yourself overthinking about something, write it down on paper.

noting down your fears and anxieties for a particular situation straight away puts them in perspective.

You can see how irrational many of them are when you step back and look at them written down on paper.

For every feared outcome write a positive one next to it. For example you worry that you won’t have enough money to pay the rent. Your obsessive overthinking has you believing you’ll be living on the streets.

Is this because you fear losing your job? Or maybe you are looking so far into the future and worry about the rising cost of living.

Calm your mind

We all have hundreds of random thoughts passing through our minds at any one time, and some of them are negative, reliving past experiences, or living future events

Meditation is a great way to calm your thoughts, and break the cycle of obsessive thinking.

Anyone can meditate, and you don’t need special equipment, or pay for expensive classes to teach you how. You can find many guided meditations online to get you started.

If you’re short on time, or find it impossible to focus on meditation as your thoughts are all over the place, there is a solution I highly recommend as it’s working for me.

Zen12 is a very modern way to meditate, and eliminates the need to spend hours practicing. Though meditation is easy, it takes time to be able to enter the zone and experience all the benefits of meditation.

Practice mindfulness

Mindfulness  is very similar to meditation and is focused around being aware of the present moment in time.

Have you noticed when you become so absorbed in something you forget the time. This is being mindful. It’s impossible for the brain to focus on more than one thing at a time.

A great way to practice mindfulness is coloring. It’s not only very creative and relaxing, but it will stop all those obsessive thoughts in your head.

Challenge your negative thoughts

If you find yourself unable to stop worrying over what might happen. Challenge these thoughts.

Decide what is the worst possible outcome and find a solution. Look online for people with similar fears, and their outcomes.

Being an overthinker myself, I frequently do this. You’d be surprised how redirecting your energy into problem solving can calm you down.

You’re taking your focus off the worry, and on to how you can cope with a situation if the worst happened.

Much of what we fear and worry about never happens anyway, but being mentally prepared for the worst possible outcome will stop you fretting.

Set aside a time for reflection

My mum was a compulsive worrier, and I used to joke with her that she should set aside a time in her day just for worrying! Having a great sense of humour she found this very funny!

But seriously, this is something you can do to, but make sure this is constructive thinking. Don’t spend this time fretting.

Reflecting on your life and goals is a good thing. Just half an hour a day or less is fine. A good time to do this is at the beginning or end of your day.

Avoid the company of other overthinkers!

Discussing problems and analyzing things with a fellow overthinker can be very destructive, even if that person is your best friend.

You’ll both end up finding reasons not to do something, and you may even find yourself feeling very depressed and discouraged.

Don’t break up friendships over it though! Just avoid discussing anything you’re worried or anxious about.

Focus the conversation on them and their life instead. Keep it light and don’t be tempted to start ruminating on the past.

If you want someone to confide in, or bounce ideas off, find a mentor or someone with a positive mindset.

Stop over analyzing

One of the best ways to stop progress is by being too analytical. This can seriously hold you back, and cause you to miss out on opportunities.

Self doubt is a big cause of this. Fearing you’re not ready or qualified enough to do something is a common trait of overthinkers.

The only way to overcome this is to just do it anyway. You may surprise yourself with the outcome!

This can also be a good way to boost your self esteem as a lot of the time you’ll discover new opportunities and successful outcomes.

Avoid watching too much news on tv

I like keeping up with current affairs, and watch the BBC news daily. However it can be quite negative at times, with the media exaggerating a lot of it. Recently it would have been easy to think World war 3 was about to happen, especially if you’re prone to overthinking.

If you want to stop the barrage of negative thoughts, and calm your mind opt for light entertainment programs. Getting involved in a tv drama or comedy for an hour or so will take your mind off any worries.

To quote the words from Bhudda “The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future, or anticipate troubles, but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly.”

How To Be More Productive And Why Busy Isn’t Always The Answer!

Why is it that you can spend hours working hard yet you’ve very little to show for it? This is such a common problem, yet there is no definite answer.

Procrastination, distractions, jumping from one task to another are just a few reasons why you’re not getting very far.

It can often seem as if you’re busy. But just take a few moments to think about what you’re doing.

Checking emails, replying to messages on social media may seem like you’re working, until you take into account all the little breaks you take just aimlessly surfing the web.

Social media may be a vital part of your business, but if you find yourself being drawn into unrelated stuff, you’re not working

If this sounds like you, don’t beat yourself up! It happens to the best of us at sometime or another. You’re only human!

Scheduling time for doing things like checking your email, and replying to messages on twitter or Face book will make a huge difference.

Just make sure you stick to this though no matter how tempting a quick check on social media may seem.

It only takes one diversion and before you know it half an hour has passed.

There are only so many hours in a day, and unless you’re organized that time will go in a flash with very little achieved.

Working on your own, especially at home is one of the hardest things to do. It’s a lovely way to work, but at the same time you need a ton of self discipline.

The temptation to stop and make coffee, feed the cat, or do the laundry can be hard to resist.

One tip I do everyday is keep a virtual diary. The night before, I note down all the tasks I plan to complete the next day. I also list them in order of urgency.

Starting with the first task, only work on that one until you’ve finished. Then move onto the next.

You will get distractions at home, it’s part of life. Being disciplined enough to stick to what you’re doing, unless it’s critical requires practice.

At the very end of the day, spend a few moments noting down your achievements. Any task not finished, carry it over to the next day. Don’t get downhearted if you don’t get everything done you’d planned.

Why multi-tasking never works

Women especially are often thought of as being great multi-taskers. Cooking the children’s dinner, while texting a friend, and planning a presentation may seem do-able, but in reality your brain can only focus on one thing at a time.

Jumping from one task to another may make you believe you’re being efficient, but in realty you’re not.

What you’re actually doing is slowing down instead.
You may even be making yourself more anxious, especially when you realise just how long things are taking.

It can also be very disheartening to realise you’ve wasted an entire morning with very little done.

Trying to multi-task is like spreading yourself very thinly. You’re only giving partial attention to any one of the tasks.

At worst you’ll make mistakes, and at best you may achieve some small progress.

Why mindfulness can give productivity a boost

You may not associate meditation with getting more work done. In fact you may see it as a time waster.

However one of the benefits of mindfulness meditation is that it gets you to focus only on the present moment. When you’re meditating you’re not thinking about the past or future. Your only focusing on that one task.

Mindful meditation is unique in that instead of contemplation or chanting a mantra, you’re focusing on a specific task, or object. This type of meditation isn’t spiritual but designed purely to make you aware of the present

The only drawback is that it can be hard to master. Especially if you’re new to it.

There is a really great program called Zen12 which I joined recently. I’m usually skeptical of such things, especially when they claim to create a short cut to meditation.

I was so impressed though, I created a review of Zen12. I’m not going to say this will definitely make you more productive as everyone is different, but you can read my review here.

A strange reason why you may be failing to make progress.

You find yourself being very busy planning your next project, yet you’re not moving forward.

Your busy, yet productivity is slow or stagnant. One reason may actually be a fear of success. As bizarre as this sounds, subconsciously you may either feel you don’t deserve it, or you’ll fail in the end.

Be accountable

Find someone to tell your plans to. No one likes the embarrassment of failure, so this in itself will help focus your mind, especially if you create a time limit.
