Are Self Limiting Beliefs And Debt Keeping You Broke?
Getting into debt is all to easy, but many find getting out of debt hard, and find themselves in a spiral of more bills they can’t pay and an ever growing mountain of debt. But did you know that self limiting beliefs and debt are a major reason many find it hard to break this cycle?
If this sounds like you, don’t panic. No matter how bad things seem right now, you can find a solution and pay off your debts. Often embarrassment and fear of what others may think can stop you talking to your family or friends about it. Burying your head in the sand and hoping for a miracle won’t help.
Don’t let your debt intimidate you
Feeling anxious and intimidated by debt can actually make it worse. If you want to get out of debt you need to work on yourself first.
This may new age and woo woo, but your belief system and attitude to money could be seriously holding you back.
Avoiding Debt At All Costs (CBS News)I don’t care how much you owe, you can resolve the situation and turn your life around. OK, it probably won’t happen overnight unless you win the lottery, but with careful planning and a change in your belief system it will happen.
If you have a subconscious fear of money it could be repelling it away from you. You may be thinking that sounds mad as you desperately want to pay off your debts, but a deeply rooted negative belief about money could play a major part in your debt problems.
Be aware of the company you keep
People tend to be influenced by those they spend most time with. If your best friends and close family members have negative beliefs, then chances are you will have as well.
You can’t and should never just cut people out of your life, but consider spending less time with those who are forever complaining and blaming wealthy people for the state of the country!
Start going to places where wealthy and successful people gather. This could be either online or clubs and social events in your area. Learn from them and hopefully make a few friends. Don’t be shy as you are just as worthy of friendship with a person who is wealthy as with someone who is less well off.
Be aware of how they talk and their general approach to life. You’ll find their belief systems are vastly different from those of your negative thinking friends.
Money is just an idea!
Everything in the universe is in a state of constant vibration. This includes both physical and mental. If you could zoom in on the tiny molecules within the chair you’re sitting on, you’ll see them all vibrating.
You would need an extremely powerful microscope to view them, but just because you can’t see them, doesn’t mean they don’t exist.
The same goes for your thoughts. They are things created by you and are in a constant state of vibration. If your thoughts are negative they will attract that which is on the same level of vibration. This is why constantly worrying and thinking about debt will create more of the same.
Money is just a piece of paper with a value printed on it, and just like everything else is in a constant state of vibration. We all need money to pay bills and clear debts, but if you don’t feel comfortable with the idea of having money then you’ll always be poor and in debt.
Once you start to think with a wealthy mindset instead of one of lack you’ll start to find ideas and opportunities open up for you.
Changing your mindset from lack to wealthy
Changing your beliefs may take time and as I said before, don’t expect overnight miracles.
Affirmations are a great way to change your belief system, and so is visualising.
Seeing yourself with a healthy bank account, and walking into a store knowing you can afford that new state of the art sound system, or the latest tablet without getting into debt is very empowering.
Changing your beliefs and taking positive action is a powerful combination.
think of ways you can make money. What skills do you have?, Be positive and brainstorm ideas.
don’t discount an idea because you feel it’s impossible.
Spend time just writing down whatever comes into your mind. These must be things you enjoy, or are interested in, otherwise you’ll lose interest or give up easily.
If you already have a job this will need to be something you could do part time. Many successful entrepreneurs start this way. Think of what you enjoy. Cooking, writing, pets, socialising, dancing. music, health, alternative health. Anything as long as it’s something you like and have a passion for.
Next think of ways you could make money from them. For example if you love dogs and enjoy walking you set up a dog walking business. If you love baking, consider making cakes you could sell at fayres, or to local shops.
Create a business plan, and be clear about your goals. It’s important to know exactly what you want to achieve, and how you’re going to get there. This needs to be a concise step by step plan. You wouldn’t drive your car with a vague idea of where you’re going.
You’d plan your route and decide what time to leave, with a good idea of your time of arrival.
The law of attraction just like gravity is always working, whether you believe it or not. If you have no plan, and just drift along, hoping for the best, you won’t reach your goal, and you’ll have no focus.
With a plan of action you’ll feel enthusiastic and have high energy. This in turn will raise your state of vibration attracting success your way.
So how will this help you get out of debt?
By doing something you enjoy you will not only attract success and create good vibes with those you help, but a side effect will be money and wealth you’ll create from it.
Nothing happens overnight, but by working to a plan of action consistently and with focus you can change your life around, pay off your debts and live the life you desire.
