How To Use The Law Of Attraction For Weight Loss

Have you tried to lose excess pounds but fail every time? You’re certainly not alone. Chasing after different diet plans, hoping the next one will give you that magic fix isn’t the answer. If you would like to know how YOU can use the law of attraction for weight loss keep reading.

You’ve tried so hard to lose weight but the scales show no sign of moving, in fact you gained a few extra pounds this week!
You can’t understand it as all you ever think about is losing weight.

Your whole life is planned around losing those excess pounds for that special event in 6 months time. You worry about not losing weight, and you hate the sight of your expanding figure in the mirror.

You’re not alone as the majority of people desperate to lose weight spend every waking moment trying to work out why they fail. They do all the right things and have the best intentions, but somewhere along the line something is going wrong..

Are you sabotaging your effort to lose weight?

This may sound an odd question as why would you deliberately want to sabotage your efforts to lose weight?

The answer lies in your subconscious mind. You see by worrying and obsessing over losing weight you’re attracting negative energy. You lack faith and belief in yourself. You don’t believe you can lose weight and if you did you’d only end up piling it back on again. You chose to listen to friends and family who tell you that you’ll never succeed in keeping the weight off.

As a result every diet you follow doesn’t work. You have a lapse and give in to give in to that fattening slice of cake, or you go to the gym a few times then give up before you see any results. Your self belief is so poor that you find yourself making excuses as to why you should quit the diet or stop going to the gym. You find yourself in a cycle of looking for the next diet as this will be the one that will finally work.

Your thoughts shape the way you look

If you think of yourself as someone who is overweight and unhealthy then that is what you’ll get. You see, how you think and your core beliefs about yourself is what creates your reality. If you focus your mind on all the times you’ve failed a diet, or the numerous weight loss programs you’ve bought and never used then your focus is all about failure. As your reality is a reflection of your thoughts you will create more failure and problems with losing weight.

It’s as if you’re expecting your diet to fail, and subconsciously you’re thinking “why bother anyway, it won’t work”

This is very powerful stuff, and the moment you realise this you can start to make positive changes in your life. Your energy will change and you’ll start to lose those stubborn pounds you’ve spent months or years failing to get rid of.

Act as you’ve already got what you desire

Imagine you’ve already lost that stubborn weight. How does it feel? You look in the mirror and see a healthy, slim, attractive figure. You feel lighter, you look better. Imagine the admiring glances, the look of pride on the faces of your friends and family as they congratulate you on your success. You walk down the high street and instead of feeling self conscious and avoiding your reflection, you admire your new slim figure in the shop windows as you walk past.

Create a vision board

You can either do this online or the old fashioned way using glue and stiff card. Whichever works for you is fine as long as you make the vision board and use it. A vision board is simply a collage of images and text showing your ideal life.

The main advantage of creating your vision board the old fashioned way is that you can place it somewhere you can see it all the time without having the computer on. Find a large piece of stiff card and stick photos of yourself at your ideal weight. This may be some years ago but it doesn’t matter. If you can’t find any don’t worry, just find photos in magazines of people who are your ideal weight. To make this exercise more powerful write down or find affirmations that state your goals as if you’ve already achieved them.

For example “I’m so happy I weigh 120lbs.”

You can create a vision board online for free here. It’s the same principle except all your board is virtual.

Stop obsessing over your weight

If you want to get out of debt you have to stop thinking about debt and start thinking about money and financial freedom. Likewise if you want to lose weight you have to stop thinking about being overweight and think about being slim and healthy.

Our thoughts are created from pure energy, and as energy vibrates on different levels your thoughts will match that of the same vibration. So you see thinking about your weight and how hard it is to stick to a diet will bring more of the same. This is because you’re aligning your thoughts to a vibration of weight gain and poor health.

Stop comparing yourself to skinny supermodels, or photoshopped images of perfect looking celebrities. Real life isn’t like that. and the more you focus on the misery of being overweight the more you’ll attract it into your life.

YOU are a perfect human being with unlimited potential and so much to give. So stop comparing yourself to others and start believing in yourself.

Put the scales away and avoid weighing yourself every day. It’s natural for your weight to fluctuate at different times of the day, and gaining a few pounds one week isn’t the end of the world.

Losing weight successfully and keeping it off should become a lifestyle choice and not a quick fix.

The time to be happy is now!

Don’t make the common mistake of thinking that once you lose weight, or pay off your debts, or get a new car, or whatever it is your striving for, you’ll be happy. Happiness comes from within and isn’t dependant on any external source.

You can choose to be happy right now regardless of your situation. The easiest way to do this is to make a list of everything in your life you should be grateful for. For example, good health, a loving family, money to pay your bills, a roof over your head etc.

The real underlying cause of why you gained weight?

Sometimes in life, a traumatic event such as a relationship break up, or bereavement can make you turn to food for comfort. You feel better after eating that bar of chocolate or yummy desert. After a while you start associating food with feeling happy and comforted.

The pounds gradually pile on and you start to hate the way you look. As a result you turn to food for comfort and so it becomes a never ending cycle.

Find other ways to make yourself feel better. Go for a walk every day, treat yourself to a new top, or meet up with a friend for coffee and a chat. Remember, YOU have the freedom of choice to be happy, and it doesn’t depend on food. Fresh air and exercise will boost your levels of seratonin, the feel good hormone. You’ll start to feel better about yourself in that you made the decision to replace food binging for exercise.

You’ll not only feel better but look better as well. Treating yourself or meeting up with friends will boost your self esteem. Make sure though that you only surround yourself with positive people, and not those who are negative towards themselves or you.

I hope this article has helped to show you how the law of attraction can help you lose weight.

Take care
Kathy
